Snowed In!

We have been having lots of snow over the last couple of days. Thursday we got snowed in at the Walkers because the road conditions were so bad by 6 pm. Friday morning, freeway driving conditions were great. Saturday was good until about 2 pm, then another snow storm hit us.
Braylon loves snow now. He even wears a hat outside. Today- we were officially snowed in at home all day. We did try to leave earlier in the afternoon but we were not successful getting down the hill,so we had to leave the car and walk back up the hill back home. We have seen many stranded vehicles in our neighborhood.

We had a wonderful Santa Brunch at Oakbrook with the Walkers and Schulers this weekend. Braylon is still not "into" Santa yet but we're working on it with him.Unfortunately due to impeding weather conditions- our afternoon event with the Magelssen side was cancelled. It was probably a wise decision considering the snow and wind that blew in by the time we were getting back home from Lakewood. I've never seen Safeway in such mayhem- not even over Thanksgiving. These people were crazy and impatient. Thank goodness- I have a sense of humor, some people, it is obvious- do NOT.
We'll see what kind of weather this next week brings. I would like to be able to drive somewhere, make that- anywhere! since I have driven anywhere myself since Thursday. I feel a little stir crazy at the moment, so I better sign off before I write something silly!
Are we really dreaming of a white Christmas?

Winter Wonderland

As with most holiday seasons- we've been busy every weekend since Thanksgiving. We celebrated my birthday at my parents house with the Walkers, Gram, Luke, Rachelle, Schulers, Ruth/Rob, and my grandma Magelssen who was visiting us on her way to Hawaii.
The little man gave himself a black eye daycare by falling into a toyshelf but it is gone in time for Santa pictures this weekend.Braylon and I spent a Wednesday hanging out with great grandma Magelssen and Luke and Grandma Magelssen. We had lots of fun-the boys hammed it up for the camera, loved being read to by Grandma Magelssen. I took them on a wagon ride and gave the two munckins a bubble bath. They are wonderful cousins!
Will suprised me with tickets to the Nutcracker for my birthday. We sat third row and had a great time. Braylon got to have an overnight with Mammy and Pa and went to the Fantasy Lights- where he was happy to oohh and ahhh!
This weekend, we'll be attending a Santa Brunch and the Magical Strings.
We're looking forward to celebrating the holidays with family. Braylon enjoys the Christmas lights and music. He isn't too sure about the guy with the white beard in the red/white suit yet but we're working on it.
Pregnancy is going great this time around too. I have no complaints other than a minor tailbone issue. We're looking forward to welcoming, Kalia Marie Walker in April!

Thanksgiving 2008

Thanksgiving morning- we went to the park to feed the ducks. After Bray's nap- we headed down to Lakewood to join the rest of the family.
Thanksgiving was fabulous with our families. However- we did miss the family that could not be with us. This year since the Macphersons were hosting at their home- Will, Bray and I used the little red wagon to get between my parents and the Macs. Bray was a trooper all day. He loves a good party just like his mom. As an added bonus- we got to eat twice. It was fun to see everyone and it helps us recognize just how blessed we are to have such special families.
