Lots to be thankful for this year including a new baby Girl

Most exciting news that we are reporting this week is that we found out that our "bean" is a GIRL! Thankful and overjoyed don't describe the excitement that I am feeling. I had always thought we were going to have a boy so when the ultrasound technician announced to us that we were having a girl, I was so happy. We're thrilled to be adding a baby girl as the newest member of our family. We've been practicing with Braylon on how to "share" his pink colored car with the new little one and so far, so good. I suppose that may change once she arrives, but I can always be optimistic, can't I?
We have lots to be thankful for this year. We're looking forward to spending time with our friends and family during the holiday season.
We wish you and yours, a very filling and Happy Thanksgiving.

New Train Set

Will and I broke down and bought Braylon a train table before Christmas. We're crazy! Will sweated through the instructions and got it set up perfectly. (I reminded Will that this will be the first of many "toys" he'll be putting together for the kids so he better start getting used to it) You've never seen a more enthusiastic toddler- Bray truely is the "kid in the candy store" everytime we talk about his train table. As part of our nighttime routine now- we have to say goodnight to the trains and tell them we'll see them in the morning. It's a big deal for a 19-month old.

Into other news- We'll be going in for the "BIG" ultrasound on November 19th to find out the sex of Braylon's new sibling. We're looking forward to finding out if it will be a boy or girl. I'm feeling great and enjoying pregnancy like last time. I just can't believe how fast the time is going. I promise to get a picture posted of my belly as soon as I can remember to have someone take one. I'm the one behind the camera taking pictures, so there aren't many pictures of me these days.
Last week, we took Braylon to a UW Men's Basketball game that he LOVED. Braylon sure is a big sports enthusiast like his dad. I'm sure we'll be going to many more sporting events this Fall/Winter. We're missing the Supersonics, so we have to support sporting events elsewhere.

Trick or Treat- Halloween 2008

Braylon and I headed down to Lakewood to visit my parents prior to going to the Schulers. Grandpa, Grandma, Bray and I went to Lakeside Club to "practice" trick or treating. Bray seemed to pick up the whole idea, no sweat. We headed over to the Schulers for dinner and trick or treating. Will had to work late, so he wasn't able to join the giraffe and me.

Bray had a wonderful time trick or treating with Amy and Brynn. I thought that we would maybe go to a couple of homes but after every home Bray would say, " More" and point to the next home, so Uncle Mark carried him to the steps of the next house and Bray would anxiously await the next treat to be dropped in his baseball basket. At one point- his basket was too full and he took a tumble into the bushes but he quickly recovered and we did a few more homes. After we got back to the Schulers- Braylon and I handed out candy to the trick or treaters that arrived, and that was just about as big of a treat as getting candy from people. Braylon would run to the door and help me hand out candy to the little ones. He did NOT care for a few of the costumes but overall- he had a great time. I think he still might be on a little sugar high from what we saw the rest of the weekend from him. Everywhere he was going- he was running!
Sunday- we met Ruth, Finn, Stacie, Riley and my parents at the 5-Spot on Queen Anne for a Birthday Brunch for Ruth. It was such a nice suprise to see Finn, Stacie and Riley who just happened to be in town for another birthday. We sure miss seeing them as often as we used to.
Hope your Halloween was as delightful as ours!
